About Coach Brett:

Brett Mackell is from Philadelphia, PA.  Brett played at the Fredrick Gunn School from 2009-2012.  He then played juniors for the South Shore Kings (EJHL/USPHL).  Brett played college hockey at Elmira College for two years before transferring to Villanova University.  

While at Villanova, Brett became the program's all-time leading scorer among defenseman and earned the 1st Team All-ECHA three years in a row in February 2020.  Brett signed with the Cantor Ice Breakers (Federal Hockey League), and was a first round selection of the Watertown Wolves in the 2020-21 FPHL Dispersion Draft.

Brett is currently the Assistant Coach of Downingtown West Highschool (PA) and Head Coach of the Campus WILD 14AA team. He has been involved with the Atlantic District Player Development Program as a coach, evaluator and team leader for eight years.  Off the ice Brett is finishing his third year at Widener University.
